
The Challenge of Brazil's Largest 100% Renewable Energy Company
ENGIE Brasil Energia, Brazil's largest 100% renewable energy company faced a major challenge: improving the collection and calculation of greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions from its suppliers, responsible for nearly 80% of total emissions.
With the goal of engaging the supply chain to take on decarbonization commitments, ENGIE launched, in 2024 the Supplier Decarbonization Program focused on those suppliers that, together, account for more than 90% of its supply chain emissions.
